The Broken Meauxjo Band today says farewell to our good friend and one of the original guitar players from the start "Durand (Big D) Hebert ". Durand came into the group over a year ago when we were still trying to get it all together and poured his heart into everything we did. It was a long road getting to where we are at today and we owe alot to him. His decision to leave the group was a sad one but in the end he was relieved in knowing that he had made right decision .We had some good times D , I hope this is something you can look back on one day and say " It was a great experience".

Today we bid farewell to our original Meauxjo drummer and good friend Ray-Ray Romero, Ray has decided that what started out to be a once a month thing has grown to the point to where the schedule is getting to be very hectic and has also gotten to the point to where he was finding it hard to fit into his already busy family life and you have to respect him for that. We will miss Ray, we made some good memories and had some real good times from start to finish.

Our neighbors and ( Mega Meauxjo heads) Jude and Kim Clay have a son

named Michael who when asked what he was going to name his new build-a-bear

decided he would name it "Meauxjo" you know like the band mama.

This kid has got class. Here is Michael with his bear Meauxjo.

As i was posting pictures on the site that i receive from different people i couldn't help but notice how many of the same faces I saw at different shows we've played , i try to get around at break time and mingle with the crowd just to say thanks for coming so in case we haven't had time to talk i must say on behalf of the whole band thanks to all for all of the support .

Things have really come together for us and Broken Meauxjo has really taken off,we have managed to gather a great following and have made many friends along the way who have supported us tremendously and for that we are very grateful.All of the hard work is paying off like we knew it would. Seems like just yesterday we were puttting the group together ( It was actually over a year ago ) and today we find ourselves

where we are..Thanks everyone............................ Meauxjo is the word

In our search for a vocalist we have been very fortunate to be able to join up with a guy who is an excellent front man,has plenty of experience and is most of all is an awesome singer.Ron Boutte has been doing vocals for many years and will be a great asset to our group. Please welcome Ron Boutte to the Broken Meauxjo Band.

Special thanks to all who came to the block party and stood out in the cold just to come party and support us,we hope it was worth it for you, It was definitely a big ego booster for us and proved that we are ready to take it to street. We are especially thankful to all the guys with the Iberia Sheriff Office who came and contributed to the events. We are looking forward to doing it again and hope to see you at some of our future shows.
